Hello lovelies!

So, I want to give you the background on why we chose to co-sleep. I had bought the halo bassinest and used it with Zara when she was born. She kept on waking up every 2-4 hours to feed (which is normal), but when she was around 6 weeks old, I was determined to get her to sleep through the night without a feeding. I had googled a lot and one of the recommendations was to co-sleep. My husband and I were always a little scared to co-sleep, because she was so tiny and we didn't want anything to happen to her on the bed with us. However, I tried it out and it was a miracle, she slept 10 hours straight! Babies love to feel their mother right next to them and it gives them a sense of security. I actually loved co-sleeping so much and any fears we had before, they all went away. Then, 11 months had gone by and my husband and I really missed cuddling and just having the bed to ourselves. We had tried a few times laying her in her crib by herself, but she would always wake up in the middle of the night. That is, until, we got the dockatot!

Seriously, this thing is like magic! haha. When we first got the dockatot, we co-slept with her on the bed with it for about 2 weeks so she could get used to it with still feeling us right next to her. After a couple weeks, I moved Zara to the crib with the dockatot and she is completely used to it and never wakes up! My husband and I were so scared that she would never be able to be on her own in the crib and we are so thankful that we got to try this out. I just recommend you all mamas to get this co-sleeper when your baby is born! I wish I didn't wait so late, but it's nice because there are two sizes for the dockatot and we have the grand size, which fits until about 36 months. I love the chevron pattern we got and you can find it here.

Another thing I want to say is that there are a lot of parents out there that are scared of co-sleeping because you might be afraid you will roll over your baby or your blanket/pillow will get in the way, which is perfectly okay to feel that way because we did too. But, the dockatot takes all those fears away because it gives your baby his/her own space. My husband and I actually feel like there was more room in the bed once we got it because before, Zara loved to move so much and she would end up taking almost all of the bed haha and now she has her own little space which we love.

We also got a travel bag because we didn't want to get the dockatot dirty when traveling and it's really easy to carry with us whenever we travel out of the city or even just when we go over to spend the night at my parents. It's so convenient to have and we chose the color moss green where you can find here. The dockatot is perfect for co-sleeping, naps, and lounging. When I put Zara into the dockatot, she knows its nap/bed time. I also love that it's breathable and its all natural 100% cotton. I hope this helps you transition your little one on sleeping on his/her own. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Xo,
